TAX IDENTIFICATION NUMBER

The information included on this webpage is intended for information purposes only and should not be considered as tax advice from the Pattaya City Expats Club.

Foreigners are required by law to obtain a TIN, within 60 days from when you first derive the minimum assessable income.

The Thai ID card number serves as the TIN for Thai Nationals.

To obtain a Tax Identification Number (TIN), an application (Form L.P. 10.1 - all in Thai) and additional documents will need to be submitted to the Revenue Department (usually obtained from the local Revenue Office office with jurisdiction over the area where one lives).

No fee is involved if obtaining it direct from a Thai Revenue Office. Tax Professionals also can obtain the TIN, but will charge a fee for their services.

The documents normally needed will be:

  • Completed  Application for TIN
  • Copy of Passport identity page, latest Visa or Extension
  • Proof of residence (rental agreement, house book, etc)
