JANUARY 29 & 30, 2011 – TRIP TO KORAT PROVIDED BY TOURISM AUTHORITY OF THAILAND

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) invited the Club to visit Korat (Nakon Ratchasima) in the Northeastern part of Thailand. TAT provided bus transportation and made all the arrangements for visiting various places of interest (a nominal charge was made to cover the hotel and food costs). TAT limited the number of participants to 30. The group visited several interesting sites on the way to Korat, a special light and sound show in Korat, and more visits the next day to interesting sites around Korat. These visits included some ancient ruins, a silk factory, a pottery and ceramics factory, and a floral garden.
